Barn Rules

SBPRC BARN RULES

Everyone must sign a waiver.

Dogs

Dogs

All Dogs must be on a leash at all times. This includes in the immediate area of your tackroom, early in the day, and in the evening after polo is done. This also includes the fields, especially field 1 and the Stick & Ball Field. Please also pick up after your dog.

Shavings & Debris

Please pick-up your shavings/debris after sweeping your aisle ways. Do not leave it on the grass between shedrows. Thank you.

Please do not wash your aisle way more than once per week. If you wash the aisle way more than once a week it destroys the grass area and makes it muddy.

Storage

We are able to help with trailer storage, however please do not leave any other personals. The Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club is not responsible for loss or damage or anything stored in the tack rooms nor other locations on property.

Hay Spaces

The Club provides assigned hay spaces. Please contact Judith Baker at (805) 705-1333 before ordering your hay. Please note that if your hay provider places your hay in the incorrect spot, you are responsible for relocating it or sending it back if there are excess quantities.

Track

Walking: On the inner ring of the track.

Trot/Cantering: On the outer ring of the track.

Washracks

After you wash the horses, please ensure you pick-up the manure and put it in the buckets.

Tailtape

Please, pick-up your tailtape and trash at the fields.

Sharps (used needles)

Please dispose in the red containers provided. If you need a sharps container, tell us at the office and we place an order for you.

Car/Truck Parking

Mondays-Fridays the grass area, "Dually Parking" is available.

Saturdays & Sundays: Use the paved Tennis Parking Lot. Also, please be careful when parking on the barn roads to leave space for trailers to make the turns on the corners.

Stick & Ball

Mondays & Tuesdays: The Stick & Ball Field is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. Only polo members and approved grooms are permitted to be on the Stick & Ball Field. If you aren’t sure if your groom is approved, please ask the Polo Office for support.
